UNF

This past week at UNF was really dynamic and challenging, which I enjoyed. It's been awhile since I was on the East coast of FL, and I never knew about the coquina rock that forms from the coquina shells over 1000s of years!

The 24 study was long but worth it and very interesting to see two very different habitats that are only separated by a man made damn. The squid we found during the seine nets pulls was awesome and to see the creepy red glow of gators eyes at night kept me from falling asleep! Jacksonville provides a very different ecosystem and coastal habitat that is very different from what I'm used to on the Gulf coast. I really did enjoy this week at UNF even if we had to people beach watch on Memorial day ;)
