Few days at USFSP

This is going to be a great 5 weeks! Everyone in the group, now known as Purple Mermaid People, is friendly and awesome. We all share the same interests and work well as a group together.

The first few days were full of introduction to the course and a layout of what is to come in the next few weeks. Love kayaking the first day and seeing the campus from the water side.
The transmission and scanning microscopes were very cool to see, wish we had a little more hands on with them but after hearing the price of what they cost, maybe better not! Haha

The core samples were cool to see and learn about, and are a lot more interesting then I had thought they were previously. 

The wax model was probably my least favorite thing, it was slightly more confusing then it should have been, but the idea and concept was okay.

I can't wait till we come back for the open water week to spend more time on the weatherbird!
Can't wait for the next few weeks!
